To run a Produce Buyers Club, produce must be purchased or obtained from farmers. While focusing on Georgia Grown produce, this allows Concrete Jungle to find farmers in Georgia with excess produce or off grade produce that is sold at a discounted rate or saved from being thrown away. 

Farmers grow many different varieties and in different regions across the state. Some produce farmers already have a plan in place to reduce their waste and others not so much. When looking for farmers to procure produce from, Concrete Jungle looks for farmers who are willing to work closely and those to build a lasting relationship with. 

Commercial produce farmers are the farmers who are most likely to have the most waste and the best bulk pricing. Smaller produce farmers will have produce to move, but less likely in the bulk quantity. Concrete Jungle looks for farmers who value the mission of our organization.
