Liv Michaels is in AmeriCorps Harvest VISTA Program serving as a Harvest and Distribution Summer Associate at City Fruit in Seattle, Washington. Her service is focused on the harvesting, processing, and distribution of fruit to areas that are lacking in access to fresh produce. 

Liv was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and came to King County to pursue an undergraduate degree at the University of Washington. She is currently completing her third year as an Environmental Studies student with a Climate Science minor. During this time, Liv has volunteered with various environmentally focused groups, like Our Climate and Climate Action Families to learn what it takes to campaign and advocate for environmental justice.

In her free time, Liv enjoys exploring new Seattle parks where you can often find her indulging in her favorite hobbies – drawing and crocheting.
