Aria Knutson is a Harvest VISTA Summer Associate serving with Upper Valley MEND in Leavenworth, WA this season.

Hi there!! My name is Aria and I have been living in Leavenworth for the past year. I was raised in Seattle, but I learned to ski at Ski Hill in Leavenworth. Last year I helped set up and set down the Leavenworth Farmers Market, gleaned with Upper Valley MEND, and participated in a Sustainability club at my school. I have always been drawn to environmental studies and see it as a key part of our community. I will be attending Western next fall to be studying early childhood education and sustainable studies. For now, I want to gain experience working in the non-profit field. I am excited to be working in an environment where I get to interact with the community and sustain it at the same time.
