Jordyn Egbert is a graduate of Western Washington University with a BA in Environmental Studies. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Fundraising Management from the University of Washington. Jordyn grew up in Leavenworth and Seattle, Washington. She serves as an AmeriCorps Vista Fundraising and Development Specialist at City Fruit with Harvest Against Hunger. This is Jordyn’s second time serving with Harvest Against Hunger, as she served as a Summer Associate in 2019 for a gleaning non-profit in Leavenworth, WA. Jordyn is very excited to work with Harvest Against Hunger again, as she believes access to healthy food is a human right and should be accessible to everyone.

Jordyn’s host site is City Fruit located in Seattle, WA. City Fruit gleans thousands of pounds of fruit from local orchards in the Seattle area and distributes the fresh produce to 22 food banks and meal programs throughout Seattle. City Fruit is focused on strengthening the stewardship of local fruit trees and increasing the accessibility of fresh fruit throughout the Seattle community. Jordyn is working with City Fruit to develop a sustainable fundraising plan, so that City Fruit can sustain and grow its programs.
